Researchers from the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB) and Humboldt University Berlin have achieved an efficiency of 24.6% with a copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS) and perovskite tandem solar cell.
Heterojunction cell and module manufacturer Meyer Burger has established a new series of partnerships to research and develop perovskite tandem solar technology, with a view to bringing the technology to industrial scale.
Perovskite solar cell developer Oxford Photovoltaics (PV) has produced a 1 cm2 perovskite-silicon two-terminal tandem solar cell with a verified conversion efficiency of 25.2%, through an ongoing collaboration with Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB) and the Photovoltaics and Optoelectronics Device Group at the University of Oxford, led by Professor Snaith.
