NEW Energy Solar has agreed to acquire the 55.9MW Manildra Solar Farm, in Central West, New South Wales, from a subsidiary of First Solar for AU$113 million.
Major power firm EnergyAustralia has confirmed it will soon sign power purchase agreements (PPAs) for 500MW of wind and solar projects across eastern Australia, in contracts worth AU$1.5 billion (US$1.12 billion).
A total of 12 projects have been awarded funding in Australia’s breakthrough utility-scale solar funding round, with AU$91 million set aside for 482MW of capacity.
