US residential solar installer SunPower’s backlog soared to a record 13,800 customers entering Q2 2022 with the installer confirming a series of investments it is making to meet surging demand.
SunPower was boosted by rising homeowner demand for its PV and storage solutions during Q2 as the US solar installer added 13,000 new customers, bringing its total residential install base to more than 376,000.
US solar installer SunPower expects deployment to surge in the coming quarters as tailwinds and refreshed business strategy combine, despite installs within its core residential and light commercial (RLC) segment dropping in Q1 2021.
