Cloud-based software company Salesforce has committed to purchasing 280,000MWh of renewable energy certificates in emerging markets.

Solar developer Lightsource bp has signed a 15-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with energy trader América Energia for an under-construction PV plant in the Brazilian state of Ceará.

Baltimore firm will sell power from under-construction PV plant to Johns Hopkins University, retail giant TJX Companies and food group McCormick & Company.
