South Africa’s latest renewables procurement window for 2.6GW of capacity has received bids from 102 potential project developers, including 63 solar projects, according to the country’s Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE).
New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has said more than 20 large-scale renewables projects will be under construction in the state this year, as he announced its latest clean energy solicitation.
Newly selected winners will bring 460MW of solar and nearly 3GWh of energy storage to Aloha State, a fleet of 16 projects across Oahu, Maui and Hawaii Island.
Governor Cuomo revealed last Friday that 17 solar projects in the 19.99-270MW range and two 20MW battery storage projects will be developed and commissioned in upstate New York by 2024.
