Talesun Solar’s rapid growth continues as it agrees technology installation project with VRDT Corp

Talesun Solar USA, a subsidiary of Chinese solar cell and module producer Zhongli-Talesun Solar will partner with US green-tech integrator VRDT Corp (Verdant) to develop and integrate PV management and energy storage systems. The two companies will also work together on other new projects that as yet remain unnamed..

Talesun also recently signed a US$2.4 billion agreement with solar developer China Merchants New Energy Group. The alliance will see Talesun deliver China Merchant with 1GW capacity for new solar farms, an annual generation of 350MW for three years. The projects will be owned and operated by Hong Kong-based developer China Merchants New Energy Group, which was only formed in 2011.

As part of Talesun’s rapid development, the company has also opened a monocrystalline and multicrystalline production facility in the central Chinese province of Jiangsu. The plant will produce a solar cell capacity of 1GW and a module capacity of 1.5GW, which will rise to 2GW by the end of 2013.
