Westpak achieves ISO 14001 UL certification

Environmental test laboratory Westpak has announced its completion of the UL standard ISO 14001 certification.

Catherine Dowling, assistant quality manager at Westpak said, “It is our intention and commitment to carry this process forward by offering a variety of services aimed at helping client firms reduce their waste, lower their carbon footprint and improve their overall material efficiencies in areas like packaging, product design and material selections.” Initial services will be offered from the San Jose site, followed thereafter by the San Diego site.

“Our planet simply cannot afford continued inefficient usage of resources, wasting of energy and other practices not consistent with an earth-friendly view, especially in a time of increasing population and expectations,” Dowling states. “We can and must do better and Westpak intends to be at the forefront of this vital effort.”
