At its recently held ‘Supplier Conference,’ Yingli Green awarded Amtech Systems with its “Special Contribution Award” for excellence in optimizing the efficiency and productivity of Yingli’s cell manufacturing operations in Baoding, Hebei province, China. According to Amtech, this was the highest honour given to Yingli’s business partners during its First Supplier Conference.
“We are very honored to received this award from Yingli Green Energy, and very pleased to collaborate with this leader in the PV industry to provide our diffusion expertise and capabilities and support introduction of the next generation of high-efficiency solar cells,” commented J.S. Whang, CEO of Amtech.
Amtech said that it was one of only two equipment manufacturers among Yingli’s 200 suppliers to win this award.
