Romania’s Ministry of Energy has approved the Contracts for Difference (CfD) which seeks to attract 5GW of solar PV and wind capacity by the end of 2025.

The partnership aims to build two solar PV plants - Sidi Bouzid and Tozeur solar projects – each with 60MW of capacity.

The US Department of Energy (DOE) has invested US$2.2 billion in the grid across eight projects covering 18 states.

Renewables service provider RNWBL has partnered with US-based PV recycling firm Solarcycle to recycle and reuse solar panels under RNWBL’s commercial and industrial (C&I) operations.

SunPower also entered into an asset purchase agreement with residential solar company Complete Solaria to serve as the stalking horse buyer.

This new partnership aims to expand renewables in the region, with the solar PV projects located primarily in Brandenburg, Saxony-Anhalt and Saxony.

This is the second acquisition in a little bit over a month for Nextracker after the acquisition of US-based solar foundation company Ojjo.

The acquisition of Schletter will allow Dutch-based rooftop PV provider Enstall to increase its footprint in Germany and Central Europe.
