Engineering firm Black & Veatch and renewable energy installer Brightergy have signed a US$100 million solar development deal.
The three-year agreement will see Black & Veatch install commercial rooftop systems across the Kansas City metropolitan area as well as extending its reach deeper into the US as demand for renewable energy grows.

Brightergy will provide the sales, marketing and financial services for the projects with Black & Veatch fulfilling an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) role.
“Our alliance with Brightergy allows Black & Veatch to further expand its portfolio of distributed generation services,” said Dean Oskvig, president and CEO, Black & Veatch’s energy business. “We will apply the experience gained in delivering solar PV projects both in North America and around the world.”
The collaboration will focus on projects in the 25kW to 2MW range.
