Clenergy said the project was delivered on schedule and on budget. It covers over 562,000 square metres and is located at Yanqi New Energy Industrial Park. The system will have an annual output of 27,000,000kWh.

The mostly desert area surrounding Yanqi New Energy Industrial Park enjoys high levels of solar irradiance but also high winds and snowfall. The local economy currently suffers from a shortfall in reliable energy supply.

In a statement released by Clenergy, it revealed that Clenergy and the unnamed strategic and EPC project partner company previously worked together in 2012 on a 20MW plant in Keping, Xinjiang. Clenergy's strategic partners on recent projects in China have included TALESUN, Yingli Solar, CGN Solar Energy and TBEA.

Clenergy recently supplied modules to China’s largest rooftop system to date, supplying Jinhai Pulp and Paper in Hainan province with 24MW of PV-ezRack solar roof mounting modules.
