Chilean PV project developer E-CL is seeking approval for its proposed 40MW PV plant in the Arica and Parinacota region in northern Chile and has put forward its plans to the Chilean environmental authority Servicio de Evaluación Ambiental (SEA).
The plant, which would require an investment of US$100 million, is called Eagle II and will be equipped with approximately 161,000 PV modules each with a capacity of 295 watts. As general contractor, E-CL is considering using a single axis tracking system.
