According to a filing in the official journal of the European Union on Friday, EU ProSun Glass has shown sufficient evidence that dumping margins extended beyond the level observed in the original investigation and that the positive impact for EU firms has been insufficient.

The EU must act on the results of the latest investigation within nine months.

The request from EU ProSun Glass was lodged on 12 November.

EU ProSun Glass is the industry lobby group spearheaded by glass manfuacturer, Interfloat.

Correction: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that the request to re-open the case was made by EU ProSun rather than EU ProSun Glass.
