The tender is for the design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation and commissioning of grid-connected solar capacity, which will be awarded to multiple bidders. Winning bidders must also provide O&M services for a period of five years.

The deadline for receipt of bids comprising both techno-commercial bid and bid price is 7 July 2016.

last February the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), announced it would float a tender for PV capacity within the same 750MW Ananthapurama Solar Park including energy storage capacity. Every bidder for solar capacity in that tender will have to include a small storage system beside its PV plant, coming to a combined total of 100MW storage capacity.

India also recently surpassed 7GW of installed solar capacity, according to ministry of new and renewable energy figures.
