Chinese state-owned energy company PowerChina has invested in a new solar PV plant with a 343MW capacity in Brazil.

Canadian solar developer OYA Renewables has secured US$27 million in financing from City National Bank, the US subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Canada.

Power generated by the PV plant will be sold to Colombian energy trading firm Spectrum through a power purchase agreement.
