PV module manufacturer, Kyocera Corporation, has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against the Japanese subsidiary of Hanwha Q CELLS concerning its solar cell ‘three-busbar electrode structure’, while seeking negotiations with other “parties” on the claimed infringement.
Kyocera noted that Japanese patent number, 4953562 was issued in Japan in March 2012 and was key to its 17.7% record conversion efficiency for multicrystalline silicon solar cells back in 2004.

The complaint was filed with the Tokyo District Court, Kyocera said.
No further details of the infringement have been given.
