Under the terms of the deal, AEG will provide complete electrical systems for installation at nine PV power plants in Eastern Europe which have a combined capacity of 240MW.

The electrical solution includes solar inverter stations based on TKS-C containerised outdoor stations. These stations are composed of central inverters, transformers and medium voltage switchgear as well as monitoring and supervision systems (PV Guard) provided by AEG’s subsidiary, skytron energy.

The entire 240MW project is expected to be delivered this year which, the company highlights, may be a major challenge in terms of manufacturing and commissioning.

Horst J. Kayser, CEO of AEG Power Solutions, commented: “Reliability and efficiency of our solutions are demonstrated in these photovoltaic power plants and we also show our execution capabilities on very challenging projects. This contract also illustrates that the solar market is indeed growing and major opportunities exist outside Western Europe. This is direct evidence of the relevance of our solar strategy.”
