NTPC tenders for hybrid 60MW/130MW wind and solar project in Karnataka

Indian state-run power giant NTPC has issued a tender for a 60MW wind and 130MW solar hybrid energy project on a turnkey basis at its super thermal power station NTPC-Kudgi in Karnataka.

The scope of the contract includes design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, unloading, storage, installation and commissioning of the grid-connected capacity. The capacities stated in the tender are a minimum only.

O&M services on the hybrid project will be required for a period of one year after project completion.

NTPC intends to finance the project through its own resources.

The deadline for bid submissions is 21 November this year.

PV Tech revealed last month that the first ever wind and solar hybrid project in India, completed in April 2018, is to be retrofitted with energy storage after strong winds this year led to a curtailment of solar production.
