Lincoln Renewable Energy has selected Yingli Green Energy to provide 55,000 YGE-235 series multicrystalline modules for a new 10MW PV power plant in Fairfield Township, Cumberland County, New Jersey. The project, dubbed New Jersey Oak Solar PV Power Plant, is being constructed by Quanta Renewable Energy Services and The Ryan Company under an engineering, procurement and construction services agreement with LRE. The plant is expected to be completed later this year, according to Yingli.
“The New Jersey Oak Solar project represents our largest procurement from Yingli Americas to date,” said Michael DonMoyer, President of Quanta Renewable Energy Services. “The choice to work with Yingli Americas was based on the company's track record of delivering high-quality, cost-effective modules on schedule and on budget. We are pleased to team with one the nation's leading and most reputable solar PV suppliers on this project.”
Yingli Americas noted that it had recently reached a milestone of over 250MW of sales in North American, with the expectation of capturing 15% of the U.S. market share in 2011.
