Yingli Green has signed an agreement to supply modules for Etrion’s new 10MW solar project in southeast Italy. The site will feature two separate 5MW ground-mounted systems, located in Brindisi and Mesagne, which have a pencilled in completion date of late August.

“We are pleased to contract Yingli directly to supply modules for our 10MW project in Puglia,” Etrion CEO Marco Northland said. “We look forward to expanding our relationship and gaining economies of scale for future projects through this strategic partnership.”

“We welcome our new partnership with Etrion. Our companies are bringing green jobs and clean electricity to Italy, and we are both committed to lowering power costs for the end user,” Liansheng Miao, Yingli’s chairman and CEO, added.

Etrion has subcontracted building work out to ABB, which has chosen SunPower trackers and Bonfiglioli inverters to support the Yingli poly-crystalline modules.
