GCL System Integration Technology (GCL-SI) has launched its first modular PV power plant system. The ‘Super 2.5 MW Solar Block’ system utilizes GCL-SI’s 96-cell modules with a specially developed horizontal single axis tracker to accommodate the large-area modules as well as an all-in-one Inverter Power Container for 1500V DC system voltage.
DNV GL has launched the first control hardware in loop (CHIL) test facility for renewable energy generation plants. The facility connects physical power plant controllers to a real-time simulator, allowing the controller to be fully tested and validated without the need for an actual generation facility or power grid. This enables cost-effective, low-risk testing under realistic conditions for all forms of renewable energy control systems.
NEXTracker, a Flex company has launched ‘TrueCapture’, a first-of-its-kind intelligent, self-adjusting tracker control system for solar power plants. TrueCapture’s technology is designed to continuously refine the tracking algorithm of each individual solar array in response to existing site and weather conditions.
Renusol has introduced its optimized FS10-EW system for mounting photovoltaic systems on flat roofs without penetration. Thanks to the innovative screw connection and the lightweight but high-tensile design, modules with a 10° inclination with an east/west orientation can be easily installed on any flat roof.
Huawei Technologies is launching its first smart inverter solution to the global residential solar photovoltaic (PV) market. The ‘FusionHome Smart Energy Solution’ is designed from the bottom-up to be a ‘one-4-all’ (one inverter SKU for all) residential application scenarios that offers a number of key capabilities for future residential home needs such as power optimization, energy storage and smart home integration in a simplified plug & play configuration.
Sungrow’s 1500VDC string inverter is designed to significantly reduce installation and balance of system costs for utility-scale PV systems. Sungrow was the first inverter manufacturer to introduce a 1500VDC string inverter with its SG80HV, which has a power output of 80KW. The latest inverter, SG125HV, puts 125kW of capacity in a suitcase-sized cabinet weighing just 68kg. At a higher rated voltage, the SG125HV is claimed to further reduce installation and balance of system costs.
SMA Solar Technology has started offering the SMA Power+ Solution, which combines SMA inverter technology and intelligent PV module optimization in a cost-effective, comprehensive package. The basis of the intelligent SMA solution is the new Sunny Boy 3.0-5.0 with the new SMA Smart Connected service.
skytron energy has further enhanced its ‘PVGuard’ PV power plant supervision platform. Version 2.4 of PVGuard focuses on fleet management that enables system owners and operators to monitor the technical performance of all PV power plants, inverters and alarms across their entire fleet in a single view, which can be filtered or sorted to suit individual requirements.
