Joint Forces for Solar (JF4S), a global synergy of stakeholders along the solar supply chain, has gained a new backer. pvXchange, who is an online business-to-business brokerage of PV modules and inverters, will be among the sponsors of JF4S’s fourth US breakfast briefing and networking forum at Solar Power International in Dallas in October. The event will have a strong focus on the growing Texas solar market, which was ranked 10th in the United States in 2010.

JF4S builds the bridge between the stakeholders of the PV value added chain. It brings together local installers and globally active companies at its networking events, and provides grassroots knowledge on market developments. Drawing on the expertise of its supporters, JF4S brings international best practices to local markets with the goal of encouraging widespread solar adoption.

Founded in 2004 in Germany, pvXchange is already active in markets in Europe, the US, Canada and East Asia. Earlier this year, pvXchange received investment from WHEB Partners, a major clean technology private equity firm, for an undisclosed sum and through their support for JF4S, pvXchange will strengthen its position as an intermediary between globally active manufacturers of PV components and local end customers.

The company has already grown its traded volume by more than 100% annually for the past four years of trading. Alongside the injection of funding and their position in JF4S, the company could further increase its growth rates.

“We are excited to accompany the valuable initiative Joint Forces for Solar as a global supporter, as the goals of this important initiative align closely with the goals of our company,” said Olaf Emmerich, chief marketing officer of pvXchange.

pvXchange will be exhibiting at Solar Power International at booth 5854.

Daniel Fuchs, project manager of Joint Forces for Solar, said, “The industry will benefit from the widespread network of Joint Forces for Solar and the extensive experience of pvXchange,”

In July, more than 170 people attended the Intersolar North America show; next week’s Solar Power UK 2011 event will provide attendees with the latest solar market data for the UK. The UK Briefing and Networking Forum will be held on October 27 from 9.30 to 11:30am at the ICC Birmingham, UK.

The initiative builds a bridge between the individual links of the value chain and offers a platform where opinions, ideas and expertise can be shared that ultimately strengthen the industry’s growth.
