Schiller Automation has been awarded a contract for a new 120MW thin-film plant in China.
Schiller confirmed that the factory would be producing silicon thin-film solar modules, with an annual output of 850,000 modules. The facility will use the company’s BackBone and ProLoad system, as well as its line control software system. The customer was said by Schiller to be active in the renewable energy sector, but new to the thin-film market.

It is the third thin-film contract the company has won in the last six months, adding to its approximately 2GW of thin-film and crystalline fab automation already installed or contracted.
