Shanghai Aerospace Automobiles invests RMB1.3 billion in Gansu solar projects

Shanghai Aerospace Automobiles (HT-SAAE) is investing RMB1.3 billion RMB – approximately US$211.4 million – in three PV solar projects in north-west China.

In a statement to Shanghai stock exchange, HT-SAAE said it had signed several contracts for 129MW installation in Gansu province: two 49.5MW projects – one in Jiayuguan and one in Lanzhou – and a 30MW solar power plant in Zhangye.

HT-SAAE is a state-owned module manufacturer that has been active in solar power since the 1960s and also manufactures auto parts.

The new projects are in addition to HT-SAAE’s 200+MW projects, already developed in Gansu province.
