Adding to its previous module supply deals in Mexico, US-based high-efficiency module manufacturer Suniva has also commissioned its first in-house PV project in the country.

Suniva said it had partnered with Radiance Solar and Grupo Metal Intra (GMI) for the 500kW installation using 1,632 of its ‘OPT300’ high-performance modules and a SMA Solar ‘Sunny’ central inverter.

“Completing Suniva’s first full system installation in Mexico from the design to the final grid connection has been a collaborative effort. Working with GMI on installation of the racking and wiring and Radiance on design and grid interconnection has been a great experience,” said Sol Haroon, lead systems engineer at Suniva.

Suniva also noted that the US Export-Import Bank and affiliate UPS Capital had provided financing for the system and installation.
