Juniper Green Energy has commissioned a 100MW solar project in India that will supply electricity to the neighbouring country of Bhutan.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has signed a €150 million (US$159 million) loan to support the development of solar PV and hydropower plants in Bhutan.

The Bhutanese government has started construction on the country’s first utility-scale solar farm, the 17.38MW Sephu solar project.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a US$18.26 million financing package for the construction of Bhutan’s first utility-scale solar PV plant.
