Australian mining giant Fortescue Metals Group has started constructing a US$50 million project in Western Australia. The project aims to harness solar PV to produce green hydrogen, which will be used to create green metals.
A subsidiary of Australian mining company Fortescue Metals Group is looking to construct a green hydrogen facility in Egypt that could feature 9.2GW of solar and wind generation.
Mining giant Fortescue will mix solar (150MW), gas (150MW) with “large-scale” storage battery at hub in Western Australia, adding to 60MW first solar stage announced last year.
