Polysilicon producer United Solar has reached financial close on a US$50 million equity investment from the World Bank Group's International Finance Corporation (IFC) for its polysilicon facility in Oman.

Solar manufacturer United Solar has launched a polysilicon manufacturing facility in Oman, adding 100,000 metric tons of annual production capacity.

Solar polysilicon manufacturer United Solar Holding has secured over US$900 million in financing for its polysilicon plant in Oman.

The polysilicon factory will have an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons and is expected to be operational in 2025.
