The government of Victoria, Australia, has launched the an incentive scheme to encourage businesses to install rooftop solar installations.

The Australian government of Victoria has released an amended version of the Victorian Transmission Plan, adding 200,000 hectares of area to develop renewable energy – in addition to 230,000 hectares proposed in the first draft.

The SEC has signed a deal to supply the Victoria government with 100% renewable energy from its portfolio in Australia.

In Australia, the Victoria government yesterday (11 September) granted the green light for the development of the 450MW Hazelwood Solar Farm, which also includes plans for a 450MW/1,800MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).
