Further developing its plan to increase the company presence in the U.S., German module manufacturer aleo solar AG has revealed that it has set up a wholly-owned subsidiary, entitled aleo solar North America, Inc. Headquartered in Westminster, Colorado, the company has already secured UL certification for its modules for sale and installation in the U.S. and Canada.
"North America offers outstanding potential for residential and commercial rooftop photovoltaic systems and PV power plants," explained Robert Schwarzinger, Executive Vice President. "The Northeastern US is also an interesting region for us. Conditions for operating photovoltaic facilities are excellent in the states of New York and New Jersey: we're expecting a lot of growth here. Additionally, the Canadian province of Ontario has feed-in legislation based on the German model. Accordingly, the Northeast in particular offers solid opportunities as we expand distribution via our aleo power network."
