Order Focus: LDK Solar to supply Lu’an Group with polysilicon and wafers

Chinese state company Lu'an Group has secured a wafer and polysilicon supply deal with LDK Solar as it ramps its first 60MW solar cell turnkey factory supplied by centrotherm photovoltaics. Shanxi Lu'an Photovoltaic Technology Co, a subsidiary of Lu’an Group is also planning to expand capacity to 360MW in the future.

Lu’an Group is also building in parallel a polysilicon plant with centrotherm SiTec with an expected annual production output in excess of 3,000MT.

Under terms of the contract, LDK Solar said it would be providing 120MW of solar wafers commencing in January 2011 through December 2012 and 2,000 metric tons of polysilicon commencing in January 2011 through February 2013.
