Order Focus: Yingli Green Energy supplies 40MW for Peruvian solar project

Yingli Green Energy Holding’s acted as the exclusive PV module supplier for what is being called the largest solar plant in Latin America to date. The company delivered 40MW of its PV modules for the project, which is being developed by Gestamp Solar and Solarpack in collaboration with other local companies.

The solar project is based in two locations. At the 20MW site in Tacna, 75,306 Yingli YL290 PV modules are used, while the 20MW site in Moqueua has 72,032 Yingli YL290 PV modules. Collectively the project amounts to 40MW built on 243 hectares of land. The project is anticipated to be in operation by the end of the year.
