Jim Pape has joined SunPower as president of the residential and commercial business group. The company has also established a business group profit and loss (P&L) organizational structure to align its sales, engineering, construction, and customer service teams. Howard Wenger will now serve as president of the utilities and power plants business group.
"SunPower's pace of growth has allowed us to establish an organization under excellent leaders which align our two global business groups, each with their unique customer segments," said Tom Werner, SunPower's CEO. "Under Howard's strong leadership over the last two years, our utilities and power plants business has taken flight and we are thrilled to have him assume responsibility for the full P&L for this group. Our new organizational structure will support continued growth while enabling our teams to address evolving market conditions from a position of strength. We welcome Jim to SunPower and congratulate Howard on his success."
Pape joins SunPower from Trane Commercial Systems where he was vice president and general manager for North America. He earned a bachelor's of science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.
