4JET Technologies names Uwe Stute head of its new business branch

German laser system manufacturer 4JET Technologies has announced the appointment of Uwe Stute to lead the company’s new glass and new materials division.

Stute will undertake the development of laser processes and production systems for separating, fusing and modifying glass and other brittle materials.

He previously served at Laserzentrum Hannover (LZH) in the department of production and systems.

The new branch directed by Stute will continue to develop existing solutions for cutting and drilling glass and lead new laser processes to industrial use.

Uwe Stute said: “Laser technology enables new solutions in processing glass, ceramics and composites. We want to supply integrated production systems for these growth markets.”

Jörg Jetter, 4JET’s founder and CEO said: “Glass processing is becoming the third pillar of our business, besides PV and tyre manufacturing.”
