The company signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with Egypt Aluminium for a 1.1GW/200MWh solar-plus-storage project in the country.

CIP said it expected the CI V fund to add up to 30GW of renewable energy generation and storage assets to global energy grids.

The capacity is spread across three commissioned projects: the 40MWp Greenberry, 40MW Fontenet 3 and the 47MW Amance projects.

Construction is slated to begin in Q1 2026 for the solar and energy storage portions and Q3 2026 for the wind assets, Voltalia said.
