Etrion and Phoenix Solar are joining forces to build a 2.6MW PV system in Nettuno, Italy. The plant is scheduled to be completed by the end of August and consequently will not be affected by the changes introduced under the recently-passed Conto Energia IV bill.

Ownership of the plant will be held by Etrion, while Phoenix Solar will design, build and service the site, which will be equipped with Trina Solar’s fixed-tilt SMA inverters and crystalline silicon modules.

Etrion project that the plant will produce 3.5 million kWh of energy annually, a figure that will help generate EBIT earnings approaching €1 million over the same time period. The first electricity sales are expected in Q4, with tariff rates of €0.25 per kWh, plus the market price of approximately €0.08 per kWh, expected.

“We are pleased to contract Phoenix Solar to build another solar power plant in Italy. The 2.6MW solar park in Nettuno is part of our internal development portfolio and once again demonstrates our Italian team’s development capability,” Etrion CEO Marco Northland said.
