France announces Q1 2013 FiTs

The French Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy has published the feed-in tariffs for PV installations for the last quarter of 2012 and the first quarter of 2013.

For the fourth quarter of 2012, the FiTs have been retroactively adjusted in line with the government’s new urgent measures to support the domestic solar industry. Residential installations (0-9kW) were €0.3415, public buildings (0-9kW) were €0.2279 and all other buildings (0-12MW) were €0.840.

This quarter, the government has set all 0-9kW installations at €0.3159.

According to the government's announcement, the FiTs for rooftop PV systems up to 100kW with simplified integration have been raised 5%, while the FiT for ground-mounted PV plants up to 10MW has received a 20% cut.

Yesterday, it was announced that the government would offer an additional 10% under its domestic content allowance bonus in order to further aid the ailing French solar industry.
