France connected 286.3MW of new PV systems in the third quarter of this year, according to the country’s solar association, Enerplan.
According to figures drawn from France’s transmission system operators, system completions in France between July and September were up 32% on the same period last year.

Systems between 5 and 12MW accounted for 135MW of the quarter’s total, up 15.8% on last year, while systems of 1 to 5MW saw 39MW of new capacity, up 7% on last year.
According to the figures, the majority of the new capacity – 268.5MW – was installed on mainland France, while France’s overseas territories saw just 17.8MW of new installs.
The country’s cumulative PV capacity has now reached 4.82GW, according to Enerplan, up 6.31% compared to the second quarter of the year.
