‘Silicon Module Super League’ (SMSL) member Hanwha Q CELLS said it had supplied 35,073 ‘Q.PLUS’ BFR-G4.1 multicrystalline modules to a 10MW PV power plant built by renewables firm Energiekontor in Brandenburg, Germany.

Piotr Jankowski, Project Coordinator for Energiekontor AG said: “The solar park is a great example that photovoltaic systems pay off in Germany. The crucial factors for the highest possible profitability are professional planning, smooth construction and especially the performance and quality of the solar modules used. The good price-performance ratio of Q CELLS modules make the decisive difference.”

Energiekontor also currently owns and operates 35 wind farms and one solar park with total rated power of around 270MW. The company is planning to build further wind farms and solar parks at market prices without state subsidies.

Energiekontor was said to have completed the Brandenburg project in 4 months and will produce approximately 10 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity per year, saving almost 5,500 tons of CO2 using Hanwha Q CELLS 285Wp modules.
