Plans for a 51MW solar project to be developed in the Spanish region of Murcia have been green-lighted by Murcia’s Ministry of Public Works and Planning.
The approval was announced by the Minister of Public Works and Planning Antonio Sevilla and the mayor of Abarán Jesus Molina, during a meeting held yesterday at the headquarters of the Ministry of Public Works and Planning.

The plans — which were submitted to local authorities by Spanish PV developer Huerto Solar Abarán — include the development of five plants, each with around a 10MW capacity, on 45 hectares of land in the local municipality of Abarán.
The plants will be equipped with a total of 235,000 PV modules and require a total investment of around €52 million (US$68 million).
