“Octopus offers the capability of processing entire solar cell device inside one system without breaking the vacuum between the various PECVD and PVD steps and is a unique process development and pilot production tool,” Indeotec CEO Dr. Omid Shojaei said.  “PV-Lab has recently published 20.6% for HJ c-Si exclusively using Octopus for absorbers layers depositions”.

Following on from this successful round of testing, PV-Lab-EPFL has placed a follow-up order for two additional PECVD to help with its development of Hetero-Junction c-Si and TF-Si.
