Sungrow has announced that it is to supply a fully integrated 55MW/220MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to Global Power Generation (GPG) for its 100MWac Cunderdin project in Western Australia.

TrinaTracker has announced that it has passed the milestone of 1GW of global orders for its SuperTrack smart control system. Projects are distributed across more than 10 countries in Asia, Europe and Latin America, not only illustrating wide acceptance of the mature technology of the product’s smart control system in energy yield gain, but also demonstrating the stability of its commercial production.

Trina Solar global module shipments totalled  18.05GW in the first half of this year, a 72% increase compared to the corresponding period in 2021, thus maintaining the company’s second place in worldwide shipment rankings. In the six months covered in the company’s half year report, revenue amounted to RMB 35.73 billion (US$ 5.51 billon).

JinkoSolar delivered 18.21GW of solar panels globally during the first half of 2022, representing a year-on-year increase of 79%, according to the company’s recently released report for the period. The figure places the company in the leading position in global rankings for sales.

One of the major attractions on the LONGi stand was its selection of modules for various application scenarios. 54-and 66-cell modules, offering greater flexibility, higher power and lower cost, are particularly focused on distributed, residential and commercial applications, with the Hi-MO 5 (72-cell) module, widely considered to be the optimal product in terms of size, compatibility with the industrial chain, product value and lifecycle reliability, addressing both utility-scale power plants and the DG market.

LONGi has supplied 2MW of its high efficiency Hi-MO 5 bifacial modules to Thai EPC KP Greenergy for a floating project in Thailand’s Saraburi Province. Under development since March 2021, the project has now been connected to the grid and become the province’s first floating PV project.

Sungrow has announced during its participation at Intersolar South America that its cumulative shipments to Latin America have now reached 9GW. The company also debuted its “1+X” modular inverter, the SG350HX string inverter and a new commercial and residential innovation, fuelling the energy transition and improving grid stability and power supply resilience.
