Materials specialist Krempel Group said it recently received Japan’s JET certification for its black PV fluoropolymer backsheet laminate as well as obtaining TÜV certification for differently coloured fluoropolymer-based backsheets.

“Until now, very few manufacturers have been able to offer a black JET-standard PV backsheet. The latest JET certification is therefore an important building-block in the customer-oriented alignment of our ‘AKASOL’ product range, which now not only includes a white variant, but also a black variant fulfilling all JET requirements,” noted, Klaus Bernhardt, head of Krempel’s Solar Materials Division. “This enables us to provide support to all solar module manufacturers that want their products to participate in the very promising Japanese solar market.”
