Construction is planned to begin this month, with the installation expected to be roughly 60kW in size and completed in the third quarter of 2013.

Xnergy and LG Electronics have a working relationship dating back to 2004, with Xnergy performing facilities upgrades on the LG-Phillips LCD service centre facility in Carlsbad, California. As an EPC, Xnergy has been involved in the engineering, installation and commissioning of more than 100MW of alternative energy generation, including solar. Parent company Blue Earth, the company slogan of which is “Blue is the new corporate green”, announced at the end of May that it would be involved in the construction of 4MW of renewable energy facilities in Hawaii.

In a press statement issued by Blue Earth, Joseph Patalano, VP of Xnergy said: “Xnergy is honoured to be selected by our friends at LG for this project…We have enjoyed our working relationship immensely for the past decade and look forward to assisting LG in their renewable energy goals at many of its sites around the world.”
