Big name investors contributed US$37.3 million in LightSail Energy’s, an energy storage technology company, Series D funding round.
Participants in the financing round included San Francisco investor Peter Thiel, Khosla Ventures, Bill Gates, and Innovacorp. Steve Crane, co-founder and CEO of LightSail noted that the funds would allow the company to bring its first grid-scale energy storage products to the market.
