Martifer Solar has signed a turnkey contract to install a 6.6MW PV system in Murcia, Spain. Under the terms of the agreement, Martifer will not only build the plant, but also supply all the equipment and carry out operation and maintenance.

Building work is to be carried out in two stages; phase one, which will start in November and finish in December, is adding 2.8MW, while phase two, scheduled for Q4 2012, will add a further 3.8MW. Martifer is employing more than 80 people during the installation.

“This project will show our versatility and capacity to adapt to any circumstances,” Alberto Rabanal, Martifer Solar’s regional manager for Spain and Latin America, said. “Despite the difficult macroeconomic framework, Martifer Solar is ready to go on offering competitive solutions based on our technical excellence and our worldwide experience in any kind of PV installations.”
