JinkoSolar subsidiary JinkoSolar Canada will supply approximately 17MW of its mono PERC solar modules to a PV project at Brooks, Alberta, Canada, owned by Vancouver-based renewable energy developer, investor, and operator, Elemental Energy.
The Brooks Solar Project is the first utility-scale solar project in western Canada, a JinkoSolar release claimed. It is being constructed by Borea Construction ULC. Over 48,500 of JinkoSolar modules will be supplied.
"We are proud to work with Borea Construction and Elemental Energy on the Brooks Solar Project, a landmark project for the province of Alberta," said Nigel Cockroft, general manager of JinkoSolar (US).

Going into its fifth year over 200 delegates from 150 companies and 20 countries representing the PV supply chain will gather (virtually, due to COVID-19) for 3 days to discuss the technology roadmaps for PV cell advancement in GW markets. The scope of the event has been expanded this year, to cover developments in wafer supply and thin-film investments and technologies alongside all the regular benefits to all stakeholders tracking PV technology and investment trends for the next 5 years.
