Midsummer wins repeat flex CIGS sputter tool order from Asia

Sweden-based thin-film production equipment specialist Midsummer said it had secured a second ‘DUO’ flexible CIGS (copper, indium, gallium and selenium) thin-film solar cell sputtering tool order from an existing customer based in Asia.

Sweden-based thin-film production equipment specialist Midsummer said it had secured a second ‘DUO’ flexible CIGS (copper, indium, gallium and selenium) thin-film solar cell sputtering tool order from an existing customer based in Asia.

Midsummer noted that the order was placed after the initial system order in April, 2015 exceeded expected conversion efficiency gains of over 1% absolute during system qualification or ‘acceptance tests,’ according to the company.
