Sungrow to supply inverters for 201MW solar project in Vietnam

PV inverter supplier Sungrow will provide inverters to French EPC firm Bouygues for a 201MW solar project in Vietnam's Ninh Thuan Province, currently being developed by a joint venture, BIM Group and AC Energy.

Sungrow will supply its 1500V turnkey container solution, associated SCADA and PPC for the plant, which is expected to be connected to the grid in April 2019. The SG3125HV-MV containers integrate the PV inverter, transformer and RMU.

“We're excited to be a part of this 201MW project, a landmark installation which presents our first utility-scale deal in Vietnam,” said an executive from Bouygues. “We value Sungrow's proven performance track record and efficient commissioning features for the various interconnection requirements,” he added.

Sungrow has signed deals for nearly 1GW in Vietnam already and it opened its Vietnam branch in early 2018.
