NxGen Power has activated its 1.3MW PV system at the Neuse River Wastewater Treatment Plant in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The site, which is being leased to NxGen by the city, will generate around 1.7 million kWh of electricity a year, all of which is being sold to Progress Energy Carolinas. Southern Energy Management, winner of the City's 2011 Environmental Stewardship Award, designed, engineered and constructed the project.
